Think Sandwell would like to congratulate West Bromwich-based company Ian Guest Holdings on its impressive accounts figures for 2015.

The parent company’s commercial arm, Guest Motors Ltd, trading as Guest Truck & Van and Sherwood Truck & Van, is the UK’s largest dealer for Iveco and Fiat vans. It’s been operating as a family business for over a hundred years, with roots stretching back as far as 1907.

The accounts filed for 2015 show that pre-tax profits more than doubled, crossing the £1 million line, while revenue reached over £100 million. According to managing director Robert Spittle, this strong performance is continuing into 2016.

The company attributed the growth to an improving marketplace and an exceptional performance in its truck division, particularly in the sales and parts departments, both of which significantly outperformed expectations. Other reasons for celebration included a strong performance by the service department and an increase in the number of trainees.

While based in West Bromwich, Ian Guest Holdings now has dealerships across the East Midlands, the West Midlands, North Wales, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and South Yorkshire. As well as selling new and used vehicles, the company offers a wide range of services including roadside assistance, maintenance and repair, safety inspections, MOTs and loadbox lining.
