Investment boost opens up new opportunities for steel fabricator

West Bromwich steel specialist RJW Metalworks has used £35,000 of investment to renovate its factory, leading to a wealth of further opportunities.

The company, which is based on New Swan Lane, designs and manufactures a wide range of bespoke products, including handrails, balconies, walkways, enclosures and barriers. It is a relative newcomer to the market, having been established in March 2019, but the team has over 100 collective years of experience in the sector.

The investment was delivered by BCRS Business Loans, backed by the Midlands Engine Investment Fund. It has enabled the firm to upgrade its design and production facilities, which in turn has led to certification by the Steel Construction Certification Scheme. This verifies that the company’s products meet UK and European quality standards, and opens up new opportunities. RJW Metalworks has also taken on three new staff, including an apprentice.
