How do my team and I volunteer in Sandwell, or use our business skills to help people?
We thought about calling this page ‘corporate social responsibility’. But we didn’t want to make it too formal because there are many ways, big and small, to give back and feel good about being part of Sandwell. Did you know there are more than 1,000 voluntary and community groups* running in the borough? Here is some more information about Sandwell’s community and voluntary sector – and how you and your colleagues can get involved.

Meet SCVO
SCVO (Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations) is the support organisation for Sandwell’s voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises. You will find many resources on its website, include signposts to grant funding, useful events, ideas and support services – plus a database of voluntary and community organisations in Sandwell.

Hosted by SCVO, the ‘Let’s Go’ website helps individuals and businesses find opportunities to volunteer in Sandwell, while giving local organisations a platform to share the help or resources they need. Take a look at current Let’s Go opportunities.

Consider applying to be a Sandwell Business Ambassador
The Sandwell Business Ambassadors are a collective of influential local business leaders who act as a voice for the Sandwell business community. They work alongside Sandwell Council and champion responsible business practices – including community wealth building through responsible buying, and nurturing positive mental health.
