When women are raised up at work, we will all be raised up, benefiting from a workforce that draws on the skills and talents of the whole population. While workplace gender inequality still exists, we will share programmes and inspiration from the West Midlands and beyond to support women, and support Sandwell businesses to recruit, retain and advance women.

Allied Women in Engineering
This brand new Birmingham-based organisation aims to be an inclusive, all-round support system for people who want to maximise their potential and experience fulfilment, joy, belonging and purpose when they come to work every day.
Black Country Women in Leadership
The Black Country Chamber of Commerce established Black Country Women in Leadership in 2019 to support and celebrate women in senior leadership roles, and to help inspire the next generation.
Enterprising Women
Organised and facilitated by the East Midlands Chamber, Enterprising Women offers monthly events that cover a wide range of learning and development opportunities, from social networking and teambuilding exercises, to topical speakers and panels.
Midlands Women’s Network
In this community of passionate entrepreneurs, corporate high-flyers and new business start-ups, people share the desire for constant improvement and support of one another. The group offers inspirational talks, meetings, specialist training, events and programmes relevant to women in business.
West Midlands Women’s Voice
This group includes women in businesses as well as in the arts – working together to support the West Midlands Combined Authority in setting an agenda for economic growth and better social welfare.
Women in Business Association
This not-for-profit membership organisation has been supporting business women in the West Midlands since 1990. It offers a programme of events including personal and professional development workshops, expert speaker events and social gatherings, all in a supportive and friendly environment.

British Association of Women Entrepreneurs
This not-for-profit organisation is a peer group of women entrepreneurs who want to challenge and be challenged. Its aim is to support the empowerment of women entrepreneurs by bringing together diverse cross section of women for networking and support.
Business Women In
This organisation is free to join. It runs a Facebook group, meet ups, events and workshops to encourage business women to connect, develop skills and hold each other up.
The Gender Index
Currently 16.8 per cent of active UK companies are led by women, and The Gender Index is committed to help change that. It is led by a steering group comprising of UK business leaders championing gender equality and especially female leaders.
Women in Business Network
This membership organisation is for business women who own SME businesses, are self-employed or work as professional service providers for small businesses. Its purpose is to create supportive communities of strong relationships, mutual referral and collaboration.
The Women In Business Radio Show
This podcast aims to share the information women in business need to grow. It provides a free, friendly and fun platform where women can get media experience and talk about their business based on their knowledge, experience and passion. Each episode features amazing women in business – talking about how they got to where they are now and their top tips for being in business – as well as books, business tools and ideas.
Women in Innovation
This programme from Innovate UK consists of funding competitions and events that nurture pioneering women to embrace innovation, grow their businesses, and develop their own diverse teams for positive economic, environmental, and societal change.
Women in Property
Women in Property is a national organisation that creates opportunities, expands knowledge and inspires change for women working in the property and construction industry.
Women in STEM
Women in STEM is an initiative to showcase the different opportunities for women in the STEM sector – science, technology, engineering and maths. It works to combat the stereotypes of STEM subjects with an ultimate goal of closing the gender gap.
