Here is how you can access childcare under Tier 4 restrictions – including information on forming a childcare bubble with another household.
This is different from a support bubble: read the government guidance on forming a support bubble with another household.
If your child is sent home from school because someone in their bubble has tested positive for Covid-19, they must stay at home for as long as the school advises.
If you or your staff have concerns or issues relating to childcare please check the information relating to provision within the borough on Sandwell Council’s Family Information Service Hub website.
Sandwell Early Years Team can be contacted on 0121 569 4960.
Here is the government’s latest guidance: ‘What parents and carers need to know about early years providers, schools and colleges during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak’.
Please be aware that you cannot legally set up ad hoc, onsite childcare provision. Check the government pages relating to the legal requirements for childcare, and how childminders and childcare providers register with Ofsted, and any exemptions.
The Sandwell Family Life website has contact details for a wide variety of support services such as after school clubs, sport and recreation activities, holiday activities and parent and family support.
