£4m development unveiled in West Bromwich town centre

A new £4m apartment block development has been unveiled recently in West Bromwich. The development aims to meet the needs of young professionals, business owners and tradesmen by providing high-quality affordable apartments in the town centre.

Designed and constructed by local business Detail, Victoria Court comprises 49 apartments and four commercial retail units. It is the first privately-funded development of its kind in West Bromwich.

This development by Birmingham-based D.R. Developments is just part of a huge amount of investment that has poured into the region over the last few years, and is part of a wider regeneration scheme for the Black Country.

Mayor of Sandwell, Cllr Dr Ann Jaron, cut the ribbon at the opening of Victoria Court and said: “This is a landmark development for West Bromwich and the wider Black Country. Victoria Court is the spark that may ignite further interest in private investment and development of the area, and I would like to thank Raj and Detail for choosing to site their development here in the town centre.

“As a town we’re increasingly looking to encourage more young people to consider West Bromwich as a place to live and what Detail C and D.R. Developments has done with Victoria Court combining both affordability with high specification design is sure to attract more young people to the area.”

The idea behind the scheme is that the apartments offer more young people the opportunity to get onto the property ladder and enjoy some of the higher specification benefits that would normally only be available to those with a higher budget for a city centre apartment.

The apartment building is located at the heart of the town centre with a metro stop close by, making Birmingham town centre just a 16-minute ride away. The one and two bed apartments offer a city living environment with an array of shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach on West Bromwich High Street.
