Black entrepreneurs in the West Midlands have until Sunday 31 January to apply for a free place on the Black Social Entrepreneurs Futures programme, run by the School for Social Entrepreneurs and funded by law firm Gowling WLG.

The year-long programme runs from April 2021 and aims to help participants strengthen their projects, grow their income and build their peer network. It includes eight group study session, four group coaching sessions and access to one-to-one business and legal mentoring.

Applicants need to be Black, based in the West Midlands, supporting predominantly Black communities and have already started a social enterprise. There’s a strong emphasis on accessibility and removing barriers, so application can be by online form, video or audio. Sessions will initially be online, but may move to an accessible venue in Birmingham city centre by the end of the programme, depending on the Covid-19 situation.
