The Motorsport Industry Association has put together a programme of business growth activities in the lead up to July’s Formula One British Grand Prix. As the global trade association for motorsports, the MIA has organised a number of events aimed at benefiting the engineering and technology sectors across the UK.

These include the MIA Business Growth Conference, which takes place at Silverstone on Thursday 13 July. Held at Sahara Force India’s F1 headquarters, the event will bring together over 250 international attendees to discuss how engineering, technology and government can work together to accelerate growth, both within and outside the motorsport sector. The conference will include vehicle and technology showcases, expert speakers and networking opportunities.

The MIA will also be hosting ‘Business Friday’ on Friday 14 July. The Friday before the Grand Prix is traditionally the preferred day for industry visitors, providing an opportunity to watch practice races without the weekend crowds. This event is also an opportunity for colleagues, customers and guests to network in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Over 300 business delegates will enjoy views over Maggots corner, the Wellington Straight and the Loop from a private trackside hospitality suite, with VIP packages that include refreshments, car parking, a Silverstone Radio earpiece and an official F1 programme.
