Deritend awarded major contracts

Deritend, which was founded in 1898, is headquartered in Wolverhampton with a large Midlands base on Hammec Industrial Estate in West Bromwich. It also has branches in Middlesborough and Luton.

Under the new agreements, worth a potential £20m, Deritend will be providing maintenance, repair and replacement services to a variety of water cleaning sites over the next seven years, working across Cheshire, Denbighshire, Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Flintshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Powys, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

The company has appointed new staff and purchased new vehicles to meet the extra demand on their services, which will help make sure thousands of homes and businesses continue to be supplied with clean water.

This deal is the latest in a series of recent successes for the company. As we reported last year, Deritend completed the quality assurance exercise required to be listed in IESA’s central list of suppliers and invested £500,000 in a new regional centre of excellence in West Bromwich.
