Keltruck motoring ahead
West Bromwich based company Keltruck has seen revenue hit a new high after a significant surge in demand.
The truck and bus company, which was established in 1983, is the largest independent Scania dealer in Europe. The company offers a range of products and services from its twenty operating locations across the Midlands and South Wales, including Burton on Trent, Coventry, Droitwich, Nottingham, Rugby, Tamworth, Willenhall and the head office in West Bromwich.
In recently filed financial results, Keltruck showed a leap in sales from £120.7 million in 2014 to £155.7 million in the year to 31 December 2015. This was accompanied by an increase in pre-tax profit of nearly £1 million.
A statement signed by Chris Kelly, the current chairman and son of Keltruck’s founder, said that the market had been subdued in 2014, so a growth in business had been anticipated in 2015, but it is now expected to remain static. However, shareholders celebrated the upturn in revenue by enjoying dividends of £2 million for 2015.
