More Birmingham 2022 procurement opportunities
On Thursday 3 February, some of the major contractors helping deliver the Commonwealth Games will announce further opportunities for local SMEs to get involved through supplying materials, goods and services.
They will present these opportunities in a free online ‘Meet the Contractors’ event, hosted by the West Midlands Growth Hubs and Findit. Attendees will hear from some of the appointed contractors about the work, the timeframes and the bidding process. They will also be able to ask questions and make contact with the buyers.
Taking part will be John David Grady from the Birmingham 2022 organising committee, as well as representatives of Arena Events Group (venue structures, seating and infrastructure), Birmingham Ceremonies Ltd (opening and closing ceremonies) and Outdoor Digital Production (festival live sites).
This event is only for local companies which operate within one of the West Midlands Growth Hub areas:
- Coventry and Warwickshire
- Greater Birmingham and Solihull
- The Black Country
- Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire
- Worcestershire
- The Marches
