The 2019 Sandwell Business Awards dinner will take place at Sandwell College this evening (Thursday 11 July).

Presented by singer, actor and TV weather presenter Des Coleman, the awards have been organised by Sandwell College, Sandwell Council, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and Sandwell Business Solutions Centre.

We have the collective aim to celebrate businesses and individuals who are boosting the economy and making a positive contribution to the skills and life chances of local people and their wider community.

The categories for 2019 are:

Start-up Business in Sandwell
Business Innovation Award
Contribution to Local Community Award
Education Business Award
Sandwell Top 50 Award
Commitment to Apprenticeships Award
Sandwell Business Person of the Year.

We at Think Sandwell already know the winner of the Sandwell Top 50 award. It’s the company which heads our Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies Index for 2019 – which we will launch during the ceremony.

This is the fifth year in which we have compiled such a report, celebrating the  borough’s fastest growing businesses in growth terms, and thanking them for their huge economic and employment contribution to the region.
