December motorway closures confirmed
PLEASE NOTE! These closures have now been postponed to January 2022.
Junction 10 of the M6 will be closed overnight from Monday 13 December to Friday 17 December.
Cones will be set out from 8pm, with the motorway fully closed from 9pm to 6am each night. Traffic will be diverted ‘up and over’ the junction via the slip roads, but there is likely to be heavier than usual traffic in the surrounding area.
If your company or organisation operates near the junction, it is likely there will be an impact on travel times for your deliveries, collections, employees and customers. Please share this information and plan ahead to keep your business operating as usual while the closures takes place.
Highways England has been working over the last year to make improvements to M6 junction 10. Once work is complete, the improvements will ease congestion and reduce journey times for the thousands of road users who use it every day. For the latest information, visit the project webpage.
