Free mental health training for Sandwell

The Kaleidoscope+ Group logoThe Kaleidoscope Plus Group is offering independent businesses in Sandwell free mental health first aid training for adults. The training is designed to help people recognise the signs and symptoms of mental ill health, as well as providing the means to support co-workers and get them the help they need.

Kaleidoscope was established in Sandwell in 1973 and has provided mental health support to thousands of people across the UK. It aims to normalise self care, challenge stigmas, and promote a positive opinion of mental health and wellbeing. It currently offers 24-hour text crisis support, bereavement support, suicide prevention services, counselling, community support, activity groups and services for children.

The training is funded by the Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations and takes place over two days on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 March 2022 in West Bromwich. Places are limited to one per organisation, which must be a small business based in one of the six regions of Sandwell – Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Tipton, Smethwick, Wednesbury and West Bromwich.
