Black Country Chamber launches new campaign to drive region’s growth

This is The Black Country logoThe Black Country Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) has launched a new campaign to drive the region’s growth. This is the Black Country will run throughout 2022 and 2023. The campaign will help local businesses to tackle the barriers limiting growth and productivity.

Developed and delivered with the support of its campaign partners Crowe, EBC Group, Higgs LLP, Pertemps and the University of Wolverhampton’s Business School, This is the Black Country will support Chamber members across policy, communications, events and other activities.

The campaign will focus across three areas:

  • People – attracting and retaining talent and ensuring that businesses have the right skills for now and in the future
  • Place – championing the region as a dynamic and innovative place to do business which is future looking, green, inclusive and a great place to live and work
  • Power – ensuring the region has the best infrastructure, connectivity, and access to green energy, enabling our economic future as a region of makers that sells to the world.

The next BCCC event will explore the skills the region needs to allow businesses to compete locally, nationally and globally. At his final public event as CEO of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, Corin Crane will be hosting a panel discussion with the campaign partners to discuss the topic.

The event takes place on Wednesday 29 June at Wolverhampton Racecourse. If you would like to attend, book your place here: https://www.blackcountrychamber.co.uk/events/29062022/skills-for-the-region-this-is-the-black-country/
