Come to West Bromwich on Wednesday 1 March for a chance to meet a dazzling array of Black Country contractors and buyers.

This ‘Meet the Buyer’ event is a collaboration between Sandwell Council, Constructing West Midlands and other Black Country local authorities. It is an opportunity to get face to face with some of the Midlands’ largest construction contractors and public-sector buyers.

Speed-dating style meetings will give you ten minutes with powerful buyers – such as officers from the Black Country’s four local councils and buyers from the NHS, HS2, Wates, Equans, BHCG, BAM and Lovell. You can also take part in small group discussions with decision-makers from major contractors such as Speller Metcalfe, Seddon, GF Tomlinson, Interclass, Morgan Sindall, Wilmott Dixon, ISG Ltd and Galliford Try.

Learning opportunities

The day will also include presentations about major initiatives including the Towns Fund, the Regeneration Pipeline and HS2, as well as social value and where to find new business opportunities. You can wander around and meet exhibitors from Klick, PSR Group, the Care Leaver Covenant, ISO, FindItInTheBlackCountry, Think Sandwell’s employment and skills team, and Sandwell Council’s procurement and climate and natural environment teams.

The event takes place from 9.30am to 3pm at the Hawthorns, home to West Bromwich Albion Football Club. It is now fully booked.
