Free carbon calculation masterclasses for SMEs

The University of Birmingham is partnering with Tunley Engineering to offer a series of free masterclasses to help SMEs in the West Midlands calculate and reduce their carbon footprints.

The practical, interactive, online workshops will help you understand your own business data, improve your environmental credentials and reduce your company’s carbon emissions. The series of three sessions will involve homework, as well as an opportunity to go through your plan with an expert, and receive a personalised carbon footprint calculation.

Multiple dates for carbon calculation masterclasses

The series will run remotely each month in March, April and May, allowing you to mix and match the dates that best suit you.

Session 1: What is a carbon footprint?
Wednesday, 3pm-5pm
15 March, 12 April, 10 May, 15 June

Session 2: What is YOUR carbon footprint?
Monday, 3pm-5pm
20 March, 17 April, 15 May, 19 June

Session 3: Develop a plan to reduce your business emissions.
Thursday, 1pm-5pm
23 March, 20 April, 18 May, 21 June

The masterclasses are funded by the European Regional Development fund and delivered by ARLI Project at the University of Birmingham. This was set up to support SMEs to run more sustainably through limiting the use of raw materials, reducing waste and developing low carbon solutions.
