Drive West Midlands at Advanced Engineering UK

Have you heard about Drive West Midlands? Launched in June by Marketing Birmingham and UK Trade & Investment’s Automotive Investment OrgDrive West Midlandsanisation, it’s a support programme designed to attract more investment for our region’s thriving automotive industry.

As you probably know, the West Midlands has one of the most prolific automotive industries in the world. It’s home to over 1,100 specialist automotive firms (including big players Jaguar Land Rover and BMW) and employs a highly skilled, 40,000-strong workforce.

Now we have Drive West Midlands to give businesses in our region a single point of reference for accessing support services within the automotive trade.

You can read more about Drive West Midlands at http://businessbirmingham.com/how-we-help/drive-west-midlands/.

You can also find out more in person at the Advanced Engineering UK 2015 exhibition taking place in Hall 5 of Birmingham’s NEC on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 November. Visit the Drive West Midlands team at stand K75.

At the national exhibition, six Midlands Local Enterprise Partnerships are joining forces to showcase our region’s automotive industry. They are the Black Country LEP (represented by Invest Black Country), Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP, Coventry & Warwickshire LEP, Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire LEP, Worcestershire LEP and The Marches LEP.
