MCA is a firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors based in Birmingham and in four other locations, specialising in working with fast-growing technology companies. The session will be lead by Adrian Holles, Director of the Birmingham’s office of mca group, and Dr Andrew Jupp, a former PhD research scientist and Tax Director for mca.

The session will comprise two parts.

An overview of the main changes in the 2016 Budget (Finance Bill No 2 2016), particularly as they affect technology compnaies, including:

Changes to Capital Gains Tax
Changes to Corporation Tax
The new dividend tax regime
Micro-businesses
Loans to participators
The Patent Box

“Ask the Expert” session where you can address any questions to our two speakers about anything you want. This may include:

R&D Tax credits
Tax-efficient fund raising (SEIS/EIS/VCTs)
Overseas expansion
Employee incentivisation – share schemes
