New Stores for New Square

New Square logoNew Square shopping centre in West Bromwich is in talks to add three more stores to its successful portfolio.

The centre, which is about to celebrate its third anniversary, already offers a feast of fashion, food and entertainment from its 473,000 square foot site in West Brom. Shoppers come from across the region to browse big name brands such as Carphone Warehouse, H&M, Next, Primark, River Island and Schuh. There’s also a range of dining options including Nando’s, Prezzo, Harvester, Real China and Mr Singh’s, plus a Funky Monkey play house to keep the children entertained. It’s a mix that is proving very successful – since opening the destination has increased footfall by 3.5 million and It is expected to welcome a record one million visitors in December 2016 alone.

The centre is also very proud of its security team, recognised for its ‘consistently high standards of performance’ with a prestigious British Security Industry Association (BSIA) award for ‘Best Team’ in the Midlands. New Square also works with Sandwell Hospital, regularly raising money for the children’s wards through charity events.

But the New Square team, led by centre manager Steve Burr, is certainly not resting on its laurels. Over the next few years, they plan to invest more in evening entertainment options, adding to the restaurants and Odeon cinema already drawing in the crowds. Negotiations are currently underway with three more businesses which it’s hoped will fill three of the four units currently available on the site.

Think Sandwell is ready and waiting to welcome the new outlets to the region’s business community. To find out what we could do for your company, go to our Business Services pages.
