Redmill Snacks site in Wednesbury sold for £1.79m

Goodl-EstatesThe former Redmill Snacks Foods site in Wednesbury has been sold to commercial property firm Goold Estates for £1.79m. The snack food plant was closed down in 2008 by Tayto.

The 130,000 square feet site has been fully refurbished by Goold Estates and has already been let to new occupiers, including Screwifx, Combat and Morgan Sindall Properties.

Walsall-based Goold Estates Limited specialises in industrial, office and retail premises throughout the West Midlands. Established in 1972, Goold Estates has a plenty of experience in commercial property agency, management and development.

The company has also purchased 6.5 acre Beecham Business Park in Aldridge in a £2.4m deal. The site has been fully let to 15 new occupiers, including Dennis Eagle, Westway Nissan and Oak Furnitureland.

Goold Esates has recently enlarged its portfolio in the West Midlands even further with another acquisition in Cannock. The Lakeside Business Park is a 3.8-acre site and includes 87,774 square feet of retail, leisure, office and warehouse accommodation. Occupiers include Euro Car Parts, Newlife and Electrium, a division of Siemens.

Goold Estates is keen to expand its Midlands operations even further and is looking for further investments in the region, in the form of either land or multi-let industrial estates.
