The trusted executive: nine leadership habits that inspire results, relationships and reputation

14/09/2017

Aston BS

On Thursday 14 September George Feiger, Executive Dean of Aston Business School, will be hosting a speaker session.

In this interactive session at the campus you will have the opportunity to understand the theory of 'The Trusted Executive’, hear the real-life examples of how leaders successfully apply this approach and practise the tools and techniques on yourself. You will also have the opportunity to learn how John's DBA research has contributed to the development of new knowledge in this area. Through innovative coaching exercises, personal anecdotes, inspirational interviews with international CEOs, and well-researched business models, this session uses material from the book, The Trusted Executive, to give leaders the tools they need to create a strategy for building trust in themselves and in their organisations.

About the speaker

John Blakey is a pioneer in the executive coaching profession and is currently undertaking his DBA at Aston Business School. In both 2016 and 2017, John was named as one of the top thought leaders globally on organisational trust at the Trust Across America awards. This accolade reflects his prize-winning doctoral research on trust, his writing of the book, The Trusted Executive, which was shortlisted for the 2016 management book of the year by the Chartered Management Institute, and his practical experience as a highly successful business leader. His previous book Challenging Coaching, co-authored with Ian Day, was hailed as a 'game-changer’ in the profession when it was first published in 2012.
