#madeinsandwell Monday star Esprit UK is also Sandwell’s fastest growing business

Our #madeinsandwell Monday star business this week is Esprit UK, the fastest growing business in Sandwell for 2018 – as revealed in our Top 50 report for 2018.

Franck Namani interior by Esprit UKEstablished in 1996, the specialist shopfitting company based in West Bromwich works with high-profile retail clients that include Selfridges, Tesla, Lululemon and Lush.

In Sandwell Council’s Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies Index 2018, which was released last week at the Sandwell Business Awards, Esprit UK tops the list with growth of almost 50 per cent.

The Esprit Group owns two other subsidiaries: Esprit Midland, a joinery manufacturing facility, and Esprit Services, delivering mechanical and electrical installations.

It’s the specialisms of these companies, said Simon Eden, finance manager for the group, that are key to Esprit UK’s evolution and recent impressive growth.

“Our philosophy has always been to provide a comprehensive turnkey service which makes life as uncomplicated as possible for our clients.

“These two companies help us maintain quality and provide flexibility in the day-to-day changes of a contract, as they are internally controlled,” he said.

Esprit UK has also grown sales by exporting its own joinery. The company combines traditional craftsmanship with the latest technology to make high-quality shop furniture that is sold in Europe, the Middle East and Australasia.

“This bespoke manufacture has included hours of research and development by our experienced employees,” said Simon.

Esprit UK has been based at its West Bromwich premises, on Spon Lane, since 2008. The site consists of extensive open-plan offices, designed with efficiency and smooth operation in mind, and more than 2,000 square metres of manufacturing and warehousing facilities.

Simon explained how Esprit UK’s Sandwell workforce is also vital to its success. “The majority of Esprit employees are local people, whose hardworking attitude helps us maintain and grow our position in the marketplace”.

As for the future, Esprit UK and the rest of the Esprit Group plan to continue in the same ambitious and exacting stride. “As a group we will aim to invest further in technology, thus raising standards in all aspects of manufacture and installation,” said Simon.
