Business rates: have your say on how they are spent in Sandwell

business ratesSandwell Council is inviting business owners to have a say on how they want their rates to be spent in Sandwell.

If you are paying business rates in Sandwell, more formally known as Non-Domestic Rates, you are welcome to put forward suggestions or speak at a cabinet meeting at Sandwell Council House on Wednesday 6 February at 5pm.

You can give feedback to the council on its proposals for expenditure for the next financial year, including on how money is spent, where you think it should be spent, and how services for businesses in our borough could be improved.

Councillor Steve Eling, leader of Sandwell Council said: “We want business owners in Sandwell to have a say on how we spend these rates.

“We want to help to make Sandwell a more prosperous place so it’s important we get the spending right to help current businesses thrive and encourage others to come to Sandwell.”

If you wish to get involved in the consultation, or attend the meeting, please email democratic_services@sandwell.gov.uk or call 0121 569 3040.
