Regal Coach Travel Limited moves to Oldbury, Sandwell
A Black Country business is benefiting from a renaissance in coach travel and the growing popularity of ‘staycations’ and expanded to a new base in Oldbury.
Regal Coach Travel Limited, an executive coach hire company, has moved to The Springfield Estate, where it has taken a 3,565 sq ft unit to store and maintain its vehicles and accommodate its offices. It means the estate, which is owned and managed by Kingswinford based London and Cambridge Properties Ltd (LCP), is now fully let.
The company showed off its new premises with an open day for regular clients and companies it does business with, including local organisations and sporting clubs.
Commercial Manager Sarah Moreton said: “Our business is growing. We needed to move from Halesowen to bigger premises but we also wanted to stay in the Black Country. The size of the new unit not only suited our needs but the location of the estate was also key because of its proximity to the motorway network.
“Our coaches travel up and down the country, whether for holiday breaks, sporting events or theatre trips. We have a lot of repeat business. One of our most popular destinations is Dunoon in Scotland.
“Coach travel is enjoying something of a revival and the range and age of people opting to travel in the comfort of an executive coach is changing.”
Regal Coach Travel was set up in November 2009 by directors Phil Bennett and Christine Evans. It has more than 35 vehicles at its disposal and is mainly direct hire, but it does work alongside some other companies.
The Springfield Estate is located just off the Birmingham Road (A457) in Oldbury and is less than two miles from Junction 2 of the M5.
Owner LCP is one of the UK’s largest private owners of industrial, retail and office property to let. Its total commercial property portfolio runs to more than 14 million sq ft which is held for long term investment purposes. For more details visit www.lcpproperties.co.uk
