Still Opportunities to Supply to London 2012 Olympics
BLACK Country businesses can join the race for the next wave of valuable London 2012 contracts at a breakfast and networking meeting next week.

re a guest appearance by sports broadcaster and journalist Steve Rider, who has covered every Olympics since Moscow 1980 and will give his personal perspective about the business side of the Games.
Black Country cycling legend and commentator Hugh Porter MBE will also attend as master of ceremonies for the morning.
The free seminar, hosted by the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), will take place at West Bromwich Albion’s Hawthorns stadium on Friday January 20 between 9am and noon.
Attendees will find out how to apply for lucrative contracts to convert the Olympic & Paralympic Games sites, as well as supplying goods and services to companies adapting the facilities for future use. New build on the Olympic Park will include office blocks and several thousand new homes, while the major venues will be converted for ‘legacy’ use.
Stewart Towe, chairman of the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “There are plenty of London 2012 contracts still available for local companies to bid for. The adaptation of the Olympic & Paralympic Games’ facilities is big business and could generate significant opportunities for Black Country businesses.”
