Over four years, a funding programme has helped 92 businesses in Sandwell with face-to-face support and, in many cases, grant funding.

On Thursday 8 October 2015 Think Sandwell is giving you the chance to meet Carillion, the preferred bidder on the £430m Midland Metropolitan Hospital (MMH).
Our free networking event is being held from 8am to 1pm at the CAP Centre in Smethwick, which is adjacent to the MMH site.
The morning session is expected to attract dozens of the region's top suppliers keen to meet representatives from major contractor Carillion.
Carillion recently led the development of the new Library of Birmingham.
Some of the region’s biggest firms are signed up to exhibit at our event, including Metsec, Ash & Lacy, Briggs Amasco, Unistrut, Thomas Dudley Group, Caparo and Hadley Group.
During the morning we will unveil our state-of-the-art BIM Technology & Skills Development Suite, designed to help local businesses get to grips with building information technology (BIM). You will also see the latest developments to the West Midlands Virtual Hospital.

This quarterly event regularly features a presentation detailing the latest quarterly economic survey results. The British Chambers of Commerce Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) is the largest and most representative independent business survey of its kind in the UK covering a substantial percentage of small businesses and the subsidiaries of large businesses. The presentation highlights these results and is followed by an interactive forum in which the audience is invited to ask the unique discussion panel questions regarding the state of the economy and strategic view on developments in financial markets.
