Changes to Apprenticeships and the benefits to your business

The Black Country LEP and Black Country Skills Factory are once again joining forces with the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to highlight the business benefits of the new apprenticeship trailblazer frameworks and apprenticeship levy to employers at a breakfast event this March.
The event to be held on Wednesday 2nd March 2016 is aimed at helping employers gain impartial information and advice about apprenticeships in the Black Country, and will explain Government changes to apprenticeships across all sectors.
Employers who are thinking of taking on an apprentice or are looking to progress their apprentice(s) to the next level, are encouraged to sign-up to the breakfast event to understand how the changes will benefit their business.
The breakfast will be held at the Village Hotel in Dudley from 7:45-9:30am and is FREE to attend for employers from any sector of the Black Country.

Women's networking group Headz Up Business is holding an event on Friday 11 March 2016 to celebrate International Women's Day.
At this morning and lunchtime event (9am - 2:30pm) at the Novotel in Wolverhampton, Headz Up is giving you the chance to hear from leading expert speakers on business support ideas and ways to grow your business.

It focuses on the Government’s BIM strategy for public sector clients, it is mandatory requirements for capital build projects and the collaborative components of BIM Level 2 which drives the use of digital technology and the universal sharing of high quality information between stakeholders.
The workshop will cover – ‘Introduction to BIM’, ‘BIM Definitions’, ‘The BIM roadmap’ BIM workforce Skills and your next steps’.
Who should attend:- People whose job role contributes support services to the built environment including client facing and business development roles, estates, facilities and property management, building control, supply chain engagement.
