Are you looking for new business for the autumn and beyond?

Our next networking Breakfast Club will take place on Thursday 11 September 2014. We'll focus on the development of the new Wednesbury Leisure Centre, with special guests from principal contractor company Interserve.

Come along and find out what Interserve looks for in suppliers and subcontractors. It's completely free to attend - you just have to set your alarm clock for earlier than usual!

The £7.1m Wednesbury Leisure Centre [pictured: artist's impression], plans for which we shared in May 2012, will include a 25m pool, a learner pool, two dance studios, a 100-station fitness suite, a café and a crèche. The new centre is set to open in summer 2015.

Interserve was announced as the principal contractor in March 2014. Councillor Steve Eling, Sandwell Council's deputy leader and cabinet member for strategic resources, said: "Our decision to award the contract to Interserve follows strong competition from several companies and is a key milestone in moving ahead with the new leisure centre in Wednesbury. We look forward to working with Interserve, which is a local company, on the project.

"One of our top priorities is helping more people be active, fit and well by providing high-quality leisure facilities."

We're delighted Interserve has agreed to send special representatives to our next Breakfast Club. They will give an interesting presentation on Interserve's projects in the West Midlands and let you know how you can get involved with the Wednesbury Leisure Centre project. This is your chance to gain useful information on Interserve's supplier approval process and find out about the accreditations you need to work with them.

In short, the morning should provide valuable insight into putting your business in the best possible position for winning work with clients of Interserve's calibre.

After the main presentations, there will be time to network with dozens of other professional delegates (our Breakfast Clubs usually attract around 200 people) over complimentary hot breakfast rolls, and tea and coffee. We are also giving a limited number of SMEs the chance to book brief one-to-one meetings with Interserve buyers: please tell us if you're interested at the time of registration and, if appropriate, we will match you to the buyer who best suits your business.

When? From 6:45am to around 9am on Thursday 11 September
Where? In the chamber rooms of Sandwell Council House (Freeth Street, Oldbury B69 3DE - park in the council car park and collect a token from reception after the Breakfast Club so you can get out!)
How much does it cost? It's free
How do I sign up? To book your place (and apply for a meeting with Interserve, if you want), email stephen_massey@sandwell.gov.uk or call him on 07929 353232.
