On Wednesday 22 February, Black Country manufacturers and component suppliers are invited to attend a special insight workshop to help them get to grips with essential digital engineering skills that future industry needs and learn how to seize opportunities that building information modelling (BIM) presents.

With the BIM mandate now in force for public sector projects, Sandwell Council and housing framework partner, Keepmoat have lined up a valuable morning session themed around the latest council housing development in Oxford Road, West Bromwich.

BIM experts and total beginners  can share BIM lessons learned, essential BIM deliverables, work-winning opportunities, supply chain expectations, technology challenges faced and pitfalls to avoid.

Attending this workshop will allow you to:

  • Learn about your BIM roadmap, work-winning opportunities and new routes to market
  • Hear about Sandwell Council’s BIM strategy aligned to its regeneration projects
  • Meet design and specification decision-makers from leading UK housing developer – Keepmoat, who are involved in multi-      million cross-region housing schemes (including Sandwell’s new Oxford Road development in West Bromwich)
  • Meet industry experts already tasked with implementing digital engineering and BIM technology
  • Hear about relevant financial support (subject to eligibility) for developing your BIM technology skills and BIM objects
  • Network with likeminded business professionals including engineers and product designers from the housing sector.

Sandwell Council’s BIM workshop is ideal for business owners, directors, product engineers, designers and business development professionals.
