On Thursday 8  February The Ministry of Defence will be hosting a 'meet the buyer' and networking event at the Birmingham Council House.

This event is an opportunity to hear directly from the MOD about:

• What the MOD buys to equip and support the Armed Forces
• The procedures and procurement processes it uses to buy a wide variety of goods and services
• How to access MOD tenders and contract opportunities
• The role of the 'doing business with defence' outreach team and the assistance they can give to potential defence supplier.

Meet the buyer

The MOD is continually developing its supply chain and provides increased opportunities for SMEs to fulfil their potential in supplying defence and security requirements.  It also recognises that SMEs have the added advantage of being able to combine innovative thinking with an agile and flexible approach, so meeting local businesses and discussing what they can offer is vital.
