Cities are important internationally, nationally and regionally and future growth in population and commercial demands bring major challenges. This conference will provide a platform for construction professionals and others to highlight the vision, future needs, opportunities and successful resolutions of city redevelopment. It will be open to all sectors of the construction industry.

Engineers, and other professionals, have a vital role in creating the environment for future generations. Speakers from a wide range of disciplines will identify the vision, concepts, ideas and practicalities of the challenges presented by growth, present case histories and encourage dialogue and understanding.

The conference is being held at Coventry - a city at the forefront of post-war re-generation, now experiencing further growing pains in what may be classified as re-re-generation. Sir John Armitt, ICE President, has highlighted its leading role in city regeneration.

The conference will encourage sharing of knowledge and experience, stimulate ideas, and learning and provide a forum for networking.
