Inspiring Life Journeys: from a STEM background to a career in tech

Join us on Saturday 12 November for the second edition of the Women in Technology Conference. Co-hosted by the University’s Women In Science and Engineering (WISE), Out in Stem (oSTEM) and Computer Science Societies (CSS), this day-long conference will be a celebration of women working in, or aspiring to, one of the world’s fastest growing industries.

Everyone is welcome – tech enthusiasts, programmers and non-programmers, coders and non-coders, from any gender and from all backgrounds and interests. We will be welcoming speakers from a wide range of disciplines to deliver inspirational Keynote talks.

This year conference will place great emphasis on interactive workshops delivered by our sponsors and partners and as such there will be numerous networking opportunities throughout the day.

Celebrating women in the technology industry is the main goal of the day and we look forward to welcoming the wide breath of expertise of real life role models, such as Dawn Bonfield, Chief Executive of the Women's Engineering Society, Camilla Ween, from WTS London Chapter, Nicola Wilkin and Jon Watkins, from the University of Birmingham and Maplesoft, respectively, among many others.

The 2nd edition of the WIT Conference is brought to you by Rolls-Royce in partnership with PwC and the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Birmingham, with additional sponsorship from Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, FDM and other companies to be announced soon.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided thanks to the support of our sponsors who will also be in attendance and look forward to getting to know you!
