This #madeinsandwell Monday star aims to make the UK a safer place
Our #madeinsandwell Monday star this week is Oldbury-based firm Fire Equipment Maintenance (FEM) Limited.
The company maintains fire equipment, including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, dry risers, fire hydrants, sprinkler systems and fire doors. All work undertaken is completed strictly in accordance with the relevant British Standards codes of practice.
Established in 2012, the family-run business values the 40 years of industry experience offered by its managing director, Anthony Beale, who previously ran Mayfair Fire Protection.
The majority of the company’s staff have been working with Anthony for over 20 years. With two sons, Adam and Jack, ready to take over when the time comes, FEM’s future is secure.
The firm is proud of the high quality of service it offers, using only experienced technicians who understand their clients’ requirements to bring fire safety up to a higher level in businesses throughout the UK.
The company operates with the ethos ‘service with integrity’. This year it is taking on and training apprentices in order to continue this level of service and in preparation for its continued growth.
Business Development officer Luke Leavy said: “From our base in Sandwell we find it easy to provide and service fire equipment for businesses all over the country. This location, with excellent access to the motorway network, will be key to helping FEM continue to grow.
“As for our future plans? These include a continued high-quality service and fair pricing to encourage growth, and a mission to make businesses all over the UK safer by working with them to properly maintain their fire prevention equipment”.
Fire Equipment Maintenance Limited offers a unique service forecast programme to ensure clients know in advance the cost of maintenance – up to five years before the works are completed.
The company prides itself on offering true budgeting capability with no hidden costs or surprise bills, and on providing an honest service in all areas.
It is also proud to be involved with supporting our armed forces and veterans. With the support of the Defence Discount Service (DDS), FEM offers a ten per cent discount on any fire equipment/systems or emergency lighting installation works available to the armed forces community, whether they are serving personnel or veterans.
