Chelsea gold is #madeinsandwell by Mastervent
This week’s #madeinsandwell Monday star is Mastervent Ltd (www.mastervent.co.uk), a manufacturer of ductwork and metal fabrications based on Engine Street in Smethwick.
Founded in 1976 by FG Colebrooke, the company is still very much a family business, currently run by Lee and Marc Colebrooke. It has a loyal and experienced workforce. One member of staff has been with the firm for over 40 years, while four others have clocked up more than 30 years of service.
Mastervent supplies clipped ductwork in galvanised steel, mild steel and stainless steel in a range of material thicknesses from 0.8mm to 3.0mm. While Mastervent’s Black Country facility specialises in heavy gauge foundry extraction systems, it also produces general sheet metal, bespoke metal fabrications, access platforms, roof seals, machine guards, walkways, hoppers, acoustic enclosures, canopies and ladders. A full design, fabrication and installation service is also available.
Mastervent works with many prestigious and well-known businesses, and has a particularly close relationship with Birmingham Parks & Nurseries. The company regularly manufactures metal-framed wirework sculptures for flower show displays, helping the team bring back gold awards from the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show for the last seven years.
“We’re very proud of our skilled and dedicated staff,” said Lee Colebrooke, “and proud to be based in Sandwell. With the region’s great transport links and the supportive business environment, we look forward to continuing to deliver high quality products, exceed customer expectations and contribute to the local economy for another forty years.”
