Victory #madeinsandwell: Enforce Technology versus the Beast from the East
This week’s #madeinsandwell Monday star is Enforce Technology, an Oldbury-based company which provides managed IT services, infrastructure and security solutions for both private and public sector organisations.
Trading since 2003, Enforce Technology’s roots lie in the acquisition of Secure Sense (an IT security reseller) that year, and its subsequent acquisition of Network Si. The company delivers services in clients’ premises, via the cloud, or as a hybrid of the two.
Enforce Technology’s business development manager Kamm Bachu explained that one recent strategy has been to encourage clients to embrace the mobility afforded by technological advancements.
“In today’s high-paced marketplace, flexibility of access to corporate data is a core requirement for any business,” said Kamm. “We’re passionate about solutions that enable businesses of any size to embrace secure remote access and subscribe to new ways of working”.
It’s possible that no client of Enforce Technology has felt the benefit of mobile working more profoundly than government department Forestry Commission Scotland.
Enforce Technology gave powerful remote working capabilities to the department’s many outdoor workers using a solution called NetConnect.
David Burton, IT change, configuration and release manager for Forestry Commission, explained why this was so useful.
“In a company like ours, with many mobile staff who barely see the inside of their own office for weeks at a time, NetConnect is an invaluable tool that the Forestry Commission couldn’t run without,” said David. “Our IT department are always receiving glowing praise from the users and local offices as NetConnect gives them the ability to access corporate data and applications from anywhere, just as if they were sitting at their own desks”.
During Britain’s last winter, one of the harshest on record, a storm dubbed the Beast from the East meant many Forestry Commission Scotland workers were unable to get to work. Enforce Technology was immediately on hand to increase the organisation’s NetConnect capability so employees could work remotely. The company also provided technical support to resolve an issue during the upgrade.
“The staff at Enforce Technology understand the meaning of customer service, customer support, and are able to provide an almost immediate response,” said Kamm.
While Enforce Technology’s offering means it can work with clients anywhere, the company is keen to forge ties with more businesses in the Black Country.
“We would like to engage with local organisations to assist in secure remote working technologies,” said Kamm.
