Funding for Sandwell manufacturer secures future growth
Sandwell manufacturing firm Indasol has secured finance to support it through the Covid-19 crisis and help shape its future product development plans.
Smethwick-based Indasol usually makes technical tapes and specialist adhesives for many industries, including the construction, fabrication, engineering, automotive and retail markets.
It offers a complete range of off-the shelf and bespoke technical tapes, adhesives, sealants, and industrial markers providing complete solutions to all bonding and sealing applications.
At the beginning of the year the company invested in new technology to expand into new markets. It took delivery of the new equipment in March just as lockdown began and its core business markets ground to a halt.
Faced with a significant reduction in demand for its usual products Indasol decided to change its business model to meet customer demand across many sectors for sanitiser products.
Using funding from HSBC UK the company literally switched its business model overnight to supply the sanitiser spray RAMSOL. The funding was secured under the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS).
The company is now operating fully as the demand for RAMSOL has steadily grown. RAMSOL is a food safe disinfectant spray which can be used on any surface to kill bacteria and viruses without the need to wipe.
Indasol has had significant demand from both existing and new customers for this product.
