Established in 2004, Cannon Tools Ltd usually supplies automotive markets in the UK and Europe with new and well-established servicing tools, for both professionals and enthusiasts.
Since the Covid-19 crisis began it has diversified into helping businesses stay safe by supplying hand sanitiser dispenser stands and other PPE equipment.
Our #MadeInSandwell Monday star also supplies the construction industry, and DIY and hardware sectors with a wide range of tools and equipment, ranging from everyday items such as ratchets, sockets, spanners, wrenches, pliers, power tools and electrical equipment to specialist products for body shops and garages.
The Rowley Regis company is a distributor of Neilsen Tools, a brand that has been growing steadily since its initial design in 2006. The Neilsen brand took in other brands and consolidated them into a consistent range under one banner.
Neilson Tools plugged a gap in the market by providing an alternative to existing products from mainstream suppliers with products at the right price point. The brand’s product range now consists of over 5000 products.
Cannon Tools has distributed the Neilsen brand since 2007, providing quality tools and equipment for several sectors, including building and construction, home and leisure, and the garden, farm and stables markets.
The family-run firm has focused on building an efficient nationwide distribution network and it is equipped to process orders promptly from its distribution centres in Sandwell, close to the M5 motorway.
Its distribution centres include an established 45,000 sq ft warehouse at Station Road in Rowley Regis and a newer purpose-built warehouse and office complex. Since 2019 this has provided an additional 90,000 sq ft of warehouse space, and has helped to create a more efficient and flexible future working environment.
As the company continues to grow and is planning for the future it has acquired and is developing another new premises for increased distribution. Due to a growth in product variety and a healthy turnover Cannon Tools is focused on staying ahead of demand.
Its future plans include expansion in Europe over the next two years, as well as adding a further 2000 product lines to its current product range under its Neilsen brand.
It also intends to continue offering employment opportunities in the borough through apprenticeships and working with young people to help develop their skills and bring new ideas to the business.
The company attributes its success to its excellent customer service and its reputation for providing a quality service. It fully intends to continue the supply of PPE while necessary, to help keep workplaces safe.
Keep up the good work, Cannon Tools!
