The new 95,000 sq ft manufacturing facility on Hainge Road is where the company produces its Care+ Protective Visor, which we celebrated in September 2020 with a #MadeInSandwell Monday feature. The facility, named ‘Enterprise House’, was made possible through Ramfoam’s participation in the Made Smarter programme.

Ramfoam was one of the first businesses to sign up to the scheme, which supports SMEs to adopt digital manufacturing technology. As part of the year-long programme, WMG at the University of Warwick helped Ramfoam use digital modelling to scale up its production, leading to a 50 per cent increase in business, and enabling it to produce up to two million visors a week at the height of the pandemic.

As well as its two sites in Sandwell, Ramfoam also operates premises in Dubai, which serves the Middle East market. The business supplies to a huge variety of industries, including construction, aerospace, retail, healthcare, automotive and the military.

It’s great to see Ramfoam’s continuing success, and ongoing commitment to manufacturing in Sandwell. To find out more about the Made Smarter programme, visit the website.
