Oldbury retail park completed
Birchley Island Retail Park on Wolverhampton Road in Oldbury is officially open. The former Toys ‘R’ Us site now boasts a new B&M store with adjoining garden centre, and a drive-through Tim Hortons, as well as the previously existing drive-through McDonald’s.
The development was delivered on time and under budget, and there is one more 20,733 sq ft retail unit still looking for a tenant. Its a prime location near the motorway, and the car park also includes charging points for electric vehicles. Anyone interested should contact Wright Silverwood for more information.
Steve Tommy, head of asset management at developers Hortons’ Estate said: “This is a fantastic destination to work, shop and meet, and promises to create new job opportunities for local people.”
The opening of Tim Hortons has been delayed due to broadband issues. It will open next Thursday (26 May) at 7am, with some big giveaways.
