Introducing Business Without Barriers

According to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), 52 per cent of people with a disability or health condition have experienced some kind of barrier relating to work. These include: being unable to commit to consistent hours, difficulty meeting short deadlines, having to apply for financial support and difficulty accessing equipment.

FSB is working to address this with the launch of its Business Without Barriers hub. The online resource features advice, guidance and tools designed for disabled entrepreneurs as well as small businesses and self-employed people who want to help remove the workplace challenges for people with disabilities and health conditions.

The website includes the key findings and recommendations from the FSB’s recent survey of members and business owners, as well as stories from successful disabled entrepreneurs. It also lists forthcoming events, and advice from employment experts on how to make your workplace more inclusive and accessible.

You can visit the Business Without Barriers hub at the FSB website.
