500 jobs to be created in the region by HS2 + drop-in jobs event

The Walsall-headquartered firm is set to support a 60 mile stretch of the line between Long Itchington Wood Green tunnel, across the Delta Junction/Birmingham Spur and onwards north to Lichfield.

Fortel Group already supplies over 2,000 staff to more than 130 construction and infrastructure projects across the UK and is now looking to fulfil upwards of 500 roles, including general labour, steel-fixers, carpenters, supervisors, charge hands, foremen, gangers, machine operators, truck drivers, traffic marshals and health and safety personnel.

Balfour Beatty Vinci and HS2 are holding a drop-in event on Wednesday 15 June to share information about the HS2 scheme in the local area as well as upcoming jobs and training opportunities on the project.

At this event you will be able to:

  • Find out more about the construction plans for the Curzon Viaducts and the wider Nechells area
  • Find out about live job vacancies and training opportunities
  • Meet the HS2 team and ask them questions.

This event is being held from 4 – 7pm on Wednesday 15 June at West Midlands Fire Service headquarters on Vauxhall Road in Birmingham.
