A distributor of packaging solutions #madeinsandwell secures multimillion-pound funding
Local manufacturer and distributor of packaging solutions NDC Polipak Ltd falls under this week’s #madeinsandwell spotlight having recently secured a seven-figure finance facility to protect its future.
The Sandwell firm provides a range of flexible packaging solutions to the pet foods, construction, DIY, Agro chemical, animal feed, horticulture and mineral markets. It has been based in the borough for over 30 years and its location enables it to deliver up and down the country efficiently.
NDC Polipak has three divisions – building products, performance packaging and bulk packaging – and is set over two sites, one in Cradley Heath and one in Halesowen. The recent finance package it received was in the form of a loan from HSBC UK, as part of the government-backed Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS).
The seven-figure finance facility will be used to support cash flow during this challenging time, as well as supporting the continuation of supplier payments.
At the start of the lockdown the business should have been entering its busiest period of the year so it had high stock levels on site ready to be delivered to customers ahead of the Easter and May Bank Holidays, which then had to be put on hold.
The loan from HSBC has helped to take any uncertainty out of the current situation and has enabled NDC Polipak to adapt its plans to ensure it is able to support its team and its customers by meeting changing stock demands.
The company’s building products division has been operating at reduced capacity since the lockdown began but its performance packaging and bulk packaging teams have been working hard to ensure its customers have what they need.
NDC Polipak’s plans for the future include continued growth and expansion. Helping the UK manufacturing industry to continue is one of its priorities.
