BCCC President takes on new challenge
The President of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, Adrian Wright, has a new job. He’s left football club West Bromwich Albion, where he has been the sales and marketing director since 2010, to take up a new position at Sporting Group International, a Smethwick-based sports HR and marketing company.
Wright will become chief executive at SGI, joining Iain Wain and Mark Dixon on the board. Quoted on the group’s Facebook page, Wright said of the move, “I thoroughly enjoyed my six years at West Brom but I felt the time was right to join a high-impact project like SGI. The board here has a wealth of experience and we’re looking forward to working with more brands in the UK and in India and China.”
Replacing Wright as West Brom’s Business Ambassador is Matthew Dainty, who is also the chairman of Erdington’s Paget Rangers Football Club.
Think Sandwell wishes Adrian Wright all the best for his new position, and looks forward to building a relationship with both Matthew Dainty and with West Brom’s new sales and marketing director, once appointed. To find out what we can do for your business, visit our Business Services pages.
