CAB Automotive Ltd awarded JLRQ by Jaguar Land Rover
Sandwell based manufacturing business Cab Automotive Ltd has given its growth prospects a major boost after securing an award from one of its major customers, Jaguar Land Rover.
CAB Automotive who supply Jaguar Land Rover with interior trim and seating assemblies, have secured the JLRQ Award.
Terry Sampson, a JLR director visited the factory to present the firm with the award.
The accreditation has taken four years to achieve and is only given to suppliers who demonstrate world class quality and delivery performance across every area of the business.
John Faulkner, general manager at CAB Automotive, said: “We work with some of the biggest names in the car industry, including Aston Martin, Bentley, Honda and Jaguar Land Rover, and to do this you need to add value, secure cost downs and provide the right parts on time.
“The latest award recognises our performance with JLR and will no doubt help to safeguard orders with the Defender and XF, whilst putting us in line for additional future models.”
Mr Faulkner said the award would not have been possible without the support and hard work of the firm’s employees.
Established in 2005, CAB is heading towards an improved £18m turnover in 2011 after securing more than £2.6m of new work.
Cab Automotive currently employs 200 people at its Tipton site and has created more than 30 jobs since it emerged from the recession in 2010.
