Claim thousands off the cost of super fast broadband for your business
The Gigabit Voucher Scheme is offering businesses across the country the chance to upgrade their internet connection and claim up to £2500 against the cost.
Launched in March 2018, the scheme is a government initiative from the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sport. It is part of the Local Full Fibre Networks programme, which has the strategic objective of increasing full fibre broadband coverage across the whole of the UK, bringing huge benefits to businesses and communities.
The vouchers can be used to contribute to the installation cost of a gigabit-capable internet connection. Businesses can claim either individually, or as part of a group project involving local communities. Residents included in group projects can claim vouchers worth up to £500.
If you’re interested, the first thing to do is to check on the website that you are eligible. If so, the next step is to find a local broadband supplier through the postcode checker on the website. You can also ask your current supplier if it can supply full fibre broadband to your premises.
Once you have found a supplier and confirmed the details via email with Gigabit Vouchers, then the provider can go ahead and connect you. Once completed, the voucher will be issued directly to the supplier to offset the cost. For more information, visit the Gigabit Voucher website.
