Deadline to submit Business Festival events is looming
Businesses wishing to run an event in the Black Country Business Festival have two weeks to get their applications in before the closing date of Friday 22nd February.
The Business Festival is a fortnight of business events taking place throughout the region between 23 April and 4 May 2018.
- Any business of any size can apply to run an event in the Festival.
- Events can take any shape from a seminar or workshop through to a trade show or major conference.
- Events should aim to benefit local businesses; showcase the Black Country and its fantastic businesses or be about something topical or of national significance.
Examples of events could include: How to source new supply chains; Growing a business from a start up to a multinational; Exporting and selling to foreign markets; Improving staff retention; How small businesses/ supply chains might deal with recent political/commercially significant events.
Where possible events should be free for people to attend. Events must not be self-promotional, however, businesses can demonstrate how they have solved a problem or can offer help, advice or learning opportunities in order to showcase their services.
A number of local venues have offered space for free or at heavily discounted rates for those needing a place to hold their event. These are listed on the website.
