Dutch horticultural manufacturer sets up shop in Sandwell
A Dutch manufacturer specialising in the production, distribution and sales of minerals, fertilizers and substrates for the horticulture industry has agreed a deal on warehouse space in Oldbury.
Atami, founded in 1997, has a customer base spread over more than 40 countries and is a renowned technical biological research bureau. It leads the field in plant nutrition and is continuously in development.
The company has agreed a long-term lease on a newly-refurbished 30,000 square feet industrial unit on the Junction 2 Industrial Estate, off Demuth Way in Oldbury.
Located just off Junction 2 of the M5 the industrial estate, owned by Logicor, provides excellent access to the UK motorway network. It is therefore a prime location for businesses looking to establish a central base for local, regional or national operations.
The letting deal was completed by Harris Lamb.
Neil Slade, a director in Harris Lamb’s agency team, said: “We are delighted to have overseen the letting of this refurbished unit on behalf of Logicor to Atami. It’s no secret that good quality warehouse stock within the Black Country is in high demand and that with a lack of new industrial stock in the region, units that are refurbished to a high standard are particularly desirable.”
Richard Phillips, UK portfolio director for Logicor, said: “I am delighted to welcome Atami as a tenant to the Logicor Oldbury estate.”
