Employment roadshow comes to Sandwell
A roadshow offering information and advice about employment and training will be coming to Sandwell on Saturday 13 July.
The event, run by the West Midlands Combined Authority, is one of seven being held across the West Midlands this summer and will focus on the region’s fastest growing sectors – digital, construction, advanced manufacturing and engineering, and business and professional services.
Paid for out of the region’s £126m adult education budget, the roadshows are aimed at people who are seeking work, looking to change jobs or interested in expanding their skills or qualifications. Expert job advisors will be on hand, as well as local colleges and training providers, to explain and advise on all aspects of employment and learning.
While business is booming in the West Midlands, demand for skilled workers is outstripping supply. It is hoped that these roadshows can help address the skills shortage and boost employment across the region.
If you’re looking to land that perfect job, push for promotion or hang a new certificate on your wall, head to the Careers Expo Marquee at the SHAPE Youth Festival in Sandwell Valley Park between 11am and 5pm on Saturday 13 July. You can also follow @WestMids_CA on Twitter for the latest updates.
