Engineering firm buys West Mids business
A Nottingham-based furnace engineering company has acquired a company in the West Midlands.
Almor Ltd was formed to bring together a number of established furnace engineering companies and specialist alloy fabricators with roots dating back to 1917.
It has purchased Oldbury-based Wellman Furnaces from Robey Wellman Boilers and Furnaces Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
Wellman will trade as a division of Almor and will remain headquartered in the West Midlands, although a phased transition to Almor’s existing site in Tipton is planned. Its staff have been retained.
The deal is expected to boost Wellman’s furnace installation abilities, as well as enhancing its after sales support service.
